MUNICH, Germany - A new addition to Provertha's I-Net Ethernet series is a plastic version of the Ethernet/IP RJ45 IP67 connector conforming to IEC 61076-3-106, Variant 1. These connectors have a bayonet locking, and offer a robust, cost effective solution for EtherNet/IP applications in protection class IP67. Combined with the special harmonised Cat. 6 RJ45 plug insets with their shock- and vibration-proof contacts, they can be used to implement RJ45 Industrial Ethernet connections for forward-looking applications up to 10Gbit/s.

Together with the plastic version, Provertha offers cable housings with strain relief through a pressure screw or anti-kink sleeve, and a flanged housing. There are also several plastic connector sets available. Both types of cable housing can be supplied as sets, together with a universal crimped or IDC-field-connection inset. In the case of the flanged sets, the flanged housing can be combined with an RJ45 Universal Coupling Module or an RJ45 IDC field connection (jack).
The RJ45 IP67 Industrial Ethernet connector system permits the implementation of secure, watertight Industrial Ethernet solutions in rugged environments. This is made possible by the special design of the cable and flange housings and the innovative, new design of the RJ45 field plugs and field jacks for quick, simple fitting in the field, without special tools.
Three locking versions standardised in IEC 63076-3-106 are offered, thus allowing the user to choose the best solution for each application: very quick and simple, push-pull plastic version (Version V4); Special for rugged environments, metal version with strain-relief clamp (V5); and quick in rugged applications, with bayonet connection (V1).
