SAN JOSE, Calif. Actel Corp. Wednesday (April 1) announced the availability of a low-cost Igloo Plus starter kit, said to enable designers to quickly evaluate the company's Igloo Plus FPGA family and prototype designs.
The kit's evaluation board includes three buck regulators from National Semiconductor Corp.'s PowerWise product line, the LM3671, LM2854 and LM3678. Also included is the LM27313 boost converter, Actel said.
The Igloo Plus starter kit AGLP-EVAL-KIT is available today for $199, Actel said.
According to Actel (Mountain View, Calif.), Igloo Plus device are optimized to devices to meet the needs of power-conscious applications that require enhanced I/O features. Igloo Plus devices have gate counts ranging from 30,000 to 125,000 and power requirements ranging from 1.2V to 1.5V, according to Actel.
