MUNICH, Germany With MOCCA compact, Hitex GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany) offers a platform which enables engineers to develop automotive and industrial applications communicating via CAN or Ethernet connections.
The system includes a comprehensive library which helps designers to quickly generate applications based on the K2L hardware abstraction layer. The platform also supports benchmarks and tests of Ethernet applications. The hardware supports the implementation of designs switching currents of up to 20A.
In addition, complete MOCCA-based gateway solutions are available that can be configured effortlessly through a graphical user interface, the vendor claims. The graphical display also supports the implementation of routing rules regarding the data exchange between field bus systems and Ethernet nodes connected to the MOCCA system. Routing rules can be altered without software modifications, the vendor promises.
