Sunnyvale, Calif.Maxim Integrated Products has rolled out a low-noise amplifier (LNA) optimized for remote keyless entry (RKE) and tire pressure monitoring (TPM) applications operating in the 315MHz and 433MHz bands.
Designed using its SiGe BiCMOS process, the MAX2634 improves receiver sensitivity with a low, 1.25dB noise figure, while consuming a 2.5mA (typ) of supply current. The MAX2634 features a logic-enabled shutdown mode that reduces supply current to less than 1microamp, eliminating the two discrete transistors typically required to implement a shutdown function. Furthermore, the MAX2634 removes the need for external DC-blocking capacitors.
The MAX2634 is fully qualified to meet the certification requirements of the AEC-Q100 standard. The MAX2634 operates from a 2.2V to 5.5V supply. Fully specified over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range, it is available in a small, 2.0mm x 2.2mm, 6-pin SC70 package.
Pricing: Starts at $0.50 (1000-up, FOB USA). An evaluation kit is available for bench-level evaluation and is priced at $50.00 (each, FOB USA).
