Santa Clara, Calif.NEC is now shipping two new RF switches, the µPG2409T6X and µPG2409TB, available through California Eastern Laboratories (CEL).
Both are high power GaAs MMIC SPDT switches, which have been redesigned to reduce cost. Applications include WiMAX, Wi-Fi, Automatic Meter Reading, and other wireless systems that require high RF power handling, high isolation, and low insertion loss. Both switches enable WiMAX mobile stations (CPE) as well as Wi-Fi Access Points for 802.11a/b/g/n home and office networks. These switches are also intended for smart meters used for automatic meter reading and the new electric utility smart grid.
The µPG2409T6X can operate from 0.05 to 6.0 GHz, with low insertion loss of 0.45dB @ 2.5 GHz, 0.65dB @ 6 GHz and 0.55dB @ 3.8 GHz and high isolation of 30dB @ 2.5 GHz and 27dB @ 6 GHz. The µPG2409T6X is housed in a 6-pin plastic TSON (Thin Small Out-line Non-leaded) (T6X) package, and is suitable for high-density surface mounting.
The µPG2409TB can operate from 0.5 to 3.8 GHz, with low insertion loss of 0.45dB @ 2.5 GHz and 0.60dB @ 3.8 GHz and high isolation of 23dB @ 2.7 GHz and 19dB @ 3.8 GHz. It is housed in a 6 pin Super Mini Mold (SOT-363) package.
Pricing: The µPG2409T6X is $0.46 and the µPG2409TB is $0.42, both in quantities of 100,000.
Availability: Shipping now.
Datasheets: µPG2409T6X and µPG2409TB.
