SAN FRANCISCODesign services provider Wipro Technologies selected Lattice Semiconductor Corp.'s MachXO programmable logic device (PLD) family for use in its new server platforms, Lattice announced Tuesday (May 18).
The MachXO device performs many of the general purpose I/O expansion, interface bridging and power-up management functions required for the new server designs, according to
Lattice (Hillsboro, Ore.).
The MachXO family has been integrated into a range of low density applications in a variety of end markets, including consumer, automotive, communications, computing, industrial and medical, according to Lattice. The family provides distributed and embedded memory, built-in PLLs, high performance LVDS I/O, remote field upgrade and a low power sleep mode, the company said. Lattice announced last November that is has shipped more than 25 million MachXO PLDs.
