Middleton, Wis.Extreme Engineering Solutions Inc. (X-ES) announced XPedite5470, a high-performance 3U OpenVPX single-board computer with Freescale QorIQ P4080 processor featuring eight Power Architecture e500 cores at up to 1.5 GHz.
Additional features include 8 GB DDR3-1333 ECC SDRAM in two channels; 256 MB NOR and 16 GB NAND flash: hardware write-protection for NVRAM; Serial RapidIO, x4 PCI Express, and SerDes Gigabit Ethernet interconnects; and Ethernet and serial ports.
X-ES is offering Freescale Semiconductor's QorIQ P4080 in five additional form factors: 3U CompactPCI, PMC/XMC, VME, 6U VPX, and 6U CompactPCI. To satisfy a wide customer range from telecommunications to MIL-STD 810F military requirements, all of X-ES's P4080 products are engineered to scale from air-cooled commercial (0 to 55°C) to full conduction-cooled (-40 to +85°C) with appropriate shock and vibration testing. Linux, Wind River VxWorks, QNX Neutrino, and Green Hills INTEGRITY Board Support Packages (BSPs) are available.
