Taipei, Taiwan - Axiomtek has launched a new PICMG 1.0 full-size single board computer (SBC), the SBC81207, based on Intel Atom processors N450, D410 and D510. The single-core N450 and D410 and the dual-core D510 are all clocked at 1.66GHz. Integrated graphics and memory controllers create a smaller footprint, higher performance-per-watt, and lower power consumption than previous Intel Atom processor solutions.
The SBC81207 has paired the processor with the Intel 82801HM I/O controller to deliver great system performance, full I/O functions, and support for full DDR2 memory and legacy PCI and ISA operation environments. The SBC81207 full-size SBC serves a wide range of applications where flexibility, low-power consumption, and thermal efficiency are important, including IP-PBX, automation and many more embedded applications.
The new Atom processors N450, D410 and D510 have TDPs of 5 Watts, 10 Watts and 13 Watts, respectively. The advanced power saving allows the SBC81207 to achieve a low total cost of ownership. The SBC81207 has met current requirements for Windows 7.
Other features include 2 DDR2 SO-DIMM to support up to 2GB memory, and ISA to support up to 500mA high drive.'To satisfy increasing demands for data transfer speed, the SBC81207 provides 6 USB 2.0 ports and 3 serial ATA ports with transfer rates up to 3Gb/s.'Other onboard I/O features include 2 COM ports, dual Gigabit LAN, FDD, PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, HD audio, and CompactFlash for SSD storage devices.
With LPC I/O integrated, the SBC81207 provides reliable operation and non-stop capability with watchdog timer, as well as the SMART FAN feature, which controls the fan speed to keep temperature within a specified range. The'SBC81207 supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP embedded, and Linux.
The SBC81207 is fully compatible with Axiomtek's PICMG 1.0 full-size backplanes. Various industrial housing enclosures are available and the company will assist with any customer's industrial integration needs.
