PARIS – International Rectifier (IR) announced it has extended its family of automotive-qualified power MOSFETs for applications low on-state resistance such as on-board power supplies and heavy loads on Internal Combustion Engine platforms, micro and full hybrid platforms.
IR claimed that the family of devices delivers on-state resistance, or RDS(on), "as low as 2.6 mOhm at 55 V" and ranges from 40V to 100V. It also includes the first 75V offerings.
With higher voltages suitable for use in 24 V truck systems, IR said several of the devices feature the new revised maximum current ratings of up to 240 A in a D2Pak-7P and 195 A in a D2Pak.
