Raleigh, N.C. –Stackpole Electronic Inc. has released two series of suppression devices that provide ESD protection of high-speed communications ports, including USB 2.0.
Stackpole’s discrete (ESD Series) and array (ESA Series) suppression devices offer low capacitance of 0.01pF, which helps to preserve signal integrity at data rates approaching 5-GHz. The products employ the company’s proprietary air-gap technology, which Stackpole says offers protection for thousands of ESD events compared with polymer-gap devices that it claims can more easily degrade.
