Tensilica has announced that the NatureDSP Math library from DSP and VoIP software solutions provider IntegrIT DSP Design House is now available for its HiFi audio DSPs for system-on-chip (SOC) design. The library is said to simplify software development for design teams porting their own software codecs to the HiFi Audio DSP.
The IntegrIT Nature DSP Signal+ is a collection of signal processing routines used when implementing typical digital signal processing functions which utilize the HiFi audio DSP architecture. It contains routines for filtering, FFT, matrix, trigonometric and other math operations.
Tensilica has ported over 60 audio and voice codecs to the HiFi audio DSP architecture, but added that customers and third party partners also port their own software, especially for audio and voice pre- and post-processing functions. This library is expected to significantly simplify and accelerate their porting efforts.
