The software development toolsuite IAR Embedded Workbench from IAR Systems now offers complete support for the ultra-low-power MSP430FR57xx FRAM (Ferroelectric Random Access Memory) microcontroller (MCU) series from Texas Instruments (TI).
The new MSP430FR57xx FRAM series writes data more than 100 times faster and uses as little as 250 times less power than flash- and EEPROM-based microcontrollers. Because of their low power consumption and write endurance of over 100 trillion cycles, these devices will prove ideal for applications that require continuous data logging or operating on a limited power source like energy harvesting.
IAR Embedded Workbench is a toolsuite well-suited for energy saving systems such as the MSP430FR57xx MCUs.
