The NEXTWave Digital Filter Design Wizard provides a streamlined approach to creating FIR and IIR filter implementations. This high-level software tool uses a design approach that walks the user through a series of easy to navigate dialog screens that contain instructional messages for each of the steps.
The end result is the design of a digital filter tailored to the user's requirements. The tool generates a filter coefficient file along with their design parameters. The coefficient files can then be used in the development of signal processing applications using standard compiler tooling. It allows the optional creation of an impulse response file for the resulting filter design. Filter designs include the specification of Butterworth, Chebyshev I, Chebyshev II, elliptic, and Kaiser-window filters.
