An industrial-grade embedded solid-state drive (SSD) meets the demands of extreme environments and targets applications with long lifetime requirements. The I-grade SATA NANDrive from Greenliant Systems (Nuremberg, Germany) operates at temperatures between -40° and +85° C and measures 14 mm x 24 mm x 1.9 5mm.
Offered in a 145 ball grid array (BGA), 1-mm ball pitch package, NANDrive comes in 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB capacities. The device combines a NAND controller with single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash die in a multi-chip package. It also resists shock, vibration, and other extreme conditions often found in industrial single-board computer, robotics, automation and control, military, and automotive applications.
Security features include a unique device ID, password protection, and four independent zones programmable to different protection levels. Users also can select specific areas of the SSD to instantly erase sensitive content instead of having to erase the entire drive. The NANDrive devices are available for purchase through authorized distributors and sales representatives.
