The RNV14 from Stackpole is a ¼ watt high voltage metal film resistor that is able to withstand environments with high moisture.
The high voltage metal film element has a maximum working voltage of 1600 volts DC, 1150 AC. It can also withstand thousands of surges of up to 7KV per IEC60065.14.1. The robust film and special protective coating also allow this part to withstand prolonged exposure to 200C heat and humidity levels of 90% RH or more with very little shift in resistance.
The RNV14 is well-suited for a wide range of high voltage power supplies and controls, as well as robotics, medical devices, test equipment, welding equipment, plasma cutters, network equipment, automotive electronics, instrumentation, aerospace, and industrial automation.
The RNV is available in ammo pack and tape and reel packaging. Pricing varies with resistance value and tolerance and ranges from $0.02 to $0.04 each in full package quantities.
