A portfolio of solid-state drives (SSDs) offers up to 800 GB capacity for enterprise and cloud storage applications. Seagate’s new line of drives includes the 600 Pro SSD, 1200 SSD and X8 Accelerator. Incorporating a 6 Gb/s SATA interface, the Seagate 600 Pro SSD features up to up to 480-GB capacity for hyperscale datacenters, cloud service infrastructure, and virtualized environments. Using a typical operating power of 2.8 W, the drive reduces energy by automatically adjusting the power consumption to workload I/O levels. It also offers a top data transfer rate of 520 MB/s, as well as up to 85,000 read IOPS and 30,000 write IOPS.
Available in 200-GB, 500-GB and 800-GB densities, the Seagate 1200 SSD targets enterprise storage and server applications with complex, write-intensive mixed workloads. With its dual-port 12-Gb/s SAS connector, the memory reaches 100% faster interface speed than previous generations. The 1200 SSD can generate up to 110,000 read IOPS and 40,000 write IOPS; its top sequential data transfer rate is 750 MB/s.
Seagate also unveiled its X8 Accelerator, boasting a storage capacity of up to 2.2 TB with up to 1.1 million IOPS.
