We're just days away from the opening of the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in Boston. One of the key attractions at this year's event is continuation of the Build Your Own Embedded System (BYOES) program, which launched at ESC Silicon Valley earlier this year.
Conference attendees who qualify for this program will receive the now popular Beagle Board, which is a development board based on an ARM Cortex A8 microprocessor. The kit also includes a version of MontaVista Linux, stored on a Numonyx SD Card.
Beginning Sunday (10/26) with the Beagle Board 101 class, attendees can attend a series of classes all aimed at programming the board to perform various real-world functions.
There are also a few live Tear Downs, one performed by yours truly. I'll be taking apart a radio-controlled helicopter. In addition, after taking it apart, I'll give it away to someone in the audience (in addition to another one that's still in the box).
