Anyone know why there is a listing for nighttime power consumption of lessthan 1 watt? At night shouldn't power consumption be zero or does the box need to feed line power back into the house?

I recommend any tyro go to the PLHH link, there are enough power reference designs to fill many an evening's study. Of course they centre on Microchip MCUs etc but the principles are there and the algorithms spelled out in the source code.
