The TriQuint TGA2524-SM driver amplifier provides +26 dBm output power at 1-dB compression across 12 to 16 GHz. According to TriQuint, no matching components are required to achieve 23 dB gain and +37 dBm output third-order intercept point.
Housed in a 3 x 3mm QFN package, this device is well suited for linear power amplifiers or test equipment in the point to point radio and VSAT markets. The company reports that the TGA2524-SM driver amplifier features 35% lower power dissipation than its main competitor, as it runs off 5V at 320 mA.
