STMicroelectronics announced The STW82100B series of integrated downconverter and synthesizer devices for use in wireless infrastructure equipment and RF instrumentation. The new devices are available in four frequency variants covering the most common wireless standards, in a spectrum from 700 MHz to 2.7 GHz.
Each device in the STW8210xB family includes an RF down-mixer, IF amplifier and RF synthesizer with voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) in 7x7 QFN 44 package.
High input linearity (typical input third-order intercept point of 24.5 or 25.5 dBm depending on model)
8dB conversion gain
10.5dB noise figure
The STW82100B is in mass production now in the VQFPN 7 x 7mm package, priced at approximately $6.00 in quantities of 1000. Alternative pricing options are available for larger quantities. An evaluation kit will also shortly be available.
