Skyworks introduces three surface mount limiter diodes for receiver protection applications. The surface mountable, low capacitance silicon PIN limiter diodes are designed as shunt connected PIN diodes for high power limiter functions ranging from 10 MHz to over 6 GHz.
These general market limiter diodes deliver low loss, very low series inductance, low capacitance and can handle high power with low thermal resistance (40°C/W). Target markets include infrastructure, military and consumer.
David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
