Agilent Technologies Inc. released the Agilent U2020 X-series, which it claims incorporates the world's fastest USB power sensors. With the peak and average power measurement capabilities of a power meter, these high-performance sensors were designed to be compact and allow engineers to test devices faster and with greater efficiency and accuracy.
Key Features: Frequency range of 50 MHz to 40 GHz Dynamic range of -30 to +20 dBm (peak/gated) -35 to +20 dBm (average) 30 MHz video bandwidth Single shot real time capture at 80 Msample/s per second Internal zeroing & calibration Measurement speed of > 3500 readings/second (free run/fast buffer mode
Agilent's U2020 X-series sensors also come with built-in trigger functions that allow triggering of small signals close to the signal noise floor. The trigger-out port enables users to perform data logging while the video-output feature allows the use of the USB sensors with an oscilloscope as an alternative method to display pulse signals and measure pulse parameters.
Applications include: manufacturing lines and field applications such as base-station maintenance.
U.S. Pricing and Additional Information The U2020 X-series USB peak and average power sensors are now available worldwide. The U2021XA (50 MHz to 18 GHz) and U2022XA (50 MHz to 40 GHz) are priced at $6,700 and $7,100, respectively.
