Professor Wei Lu's neural network image processor will connect artificial neurons using a crossbar (lower left) of memristors with migrating oxygen vacancies (upper right) in tungsten oxide to adaptively change its synaptic connection strengths.
Interesting. So with such a fast image processor, we can have an additional warning inside our vehicles alerting the red signal in front of us. I have "missed" the red signal couple of times and luckily havent caused an accident till now. This would be a great help.
Anyone knows, why memristor is used/important here?
