Agilent vector signal analyzer claims fastest test speed
Testing done for validation, compliance, and production test require improvements in test speed in order to handle the sheer number and complexity of tests required today. In recognition of this need, Agilent Technologies released its M9391A, a 1 MHz to 3 or 6 GHz PXIe vector signal analyzer (VSA), with up to 160 MHz bandwidth designed to test the latest wireless standards. The new VSA is used in combination with Agilent’s modular X-series applications, such as the M9381A PXI VSG.
Autoranging meter finds leaky PCB components
Leveraging a 16-bit converter and three fully automatic sensitivity modes, the LeakSeeker 89 from Electronic Design Specialists locates the exact spot on a pc board where a shorted or leaky component is bringing a power supply bus or data line to ground.
Fiber optic absolute position sensor is MRI-compatible
The MR338 fiber optic position sensor from Micronor provides absolute angular measurement from 0° to 360° with 13-bit (8192-count) resolution and multiturn tracking to 12 bits (4096 turns) for use in MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and similar applications where transparency to high electromagnetic fields is required.
Modular analyzer handles one to six power phases
Offering standard, logging, transient, and power-speed measurement modes, the Model 108A power analyzer from Infratek can be configured for up to six-phase measurements with 18-bit resolution and precision as high as 0.02% reading + 0.02% range.
Anritsu updates VNAs with added measurement capabilities
Expanding the VectorStar family of vector network analyzers, Anritsu’s MS4640B series offers two measurement options for performing pulse profile, point-in-pulse, and pulse-to-pulse measurements, as well as true-mode stimulus S-parameter measurements.
Spirent merges field and lab test platforms for VoLTE testing
Spirent has integrated its field-based Nomad HD call-performance and voice-quality measurement system with its laboratory CS8 and 8100 mobile-device testers to allow carriers and mobile-device suppliers to apply the same measurement system in both live networks and in the lab to ensure subscriber satisfaction with VoLTE services.
28 Gbit/s multiplexer offers multitap de-emphasis
Agilent Technologies’ M8061A 28.4 Gbit/s multiplexer furnishes optional de-emphasis with up to eight taps for characterizing receivers for next-generation servers, storage systems, and datacenter networks.
Tektronix increases network test tool’s media load capacity
The Spectra2 XL3 from Tektronix Communications, a platform for testing EPC (evolved packet core) and IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) elements for mobile LTE and fixed IP networks, now delivers media test capacity in excess of 400,000 simultaneous, bidirectional G.711 IP-based calls in a single 2U rack.
Keithley SMU boasts touchscreen
Check out the details on Keithley's Model 2450 source measure unit (SMU), which offers a capacitive touchscreen graphical user interface.
EMI receiver enables testing to 26.5 GHz
Rohde & Schwarz has expanded its ESR family of EMI test receivers with a model that covers a frequency range from 10 Hz to 26.5 GHz for performing conducted or radiated certification measurements in line with commercial standards, such as EN, CISPR, and FCC, as well as military standards.
3G/4G modules team with NI’s CompactRIO controller
S.E.A. Datentechnik has launched a series of mobile communication modules for use with National Instruments’ cRIO-9068 controller, which is part of the NI CompactRIO reconfigurable embedded control and acquisition platform.
