Pi Supply's Fish Dish
Pi Supply has an interesting Pi accessory aimed at beginners and children looking to enter the world of SBC projects. Known as the "Fish Dish" (because it sort of looks like a three-eyed fish), the breakout/add-on board features three different colored LEDs, a buzzer, and a switch along with a 2x13 header.
While this board is relatively simple, it was designed to be and comes in a kit that allows beginners to get familiar with soldering. The board attaches to the Pi using the GPIO pins, while the header allows users to still connect to those pins if need be.
So what does it do? Simply put, it provides an auditory and visual feedback to components attached to it, highlighting several different interfacing techniques. The board is featured on Kickstarter and can be had in kit form for a mere pledge of $11 and over. Click here for information.
