Ciseco's Pi Light Bright White LED Display
An interesting accessory for the Pi that comes from Ciseco is the Pi Lite Bright White LED Display. The Pi Lite features a series of white LEDs that can function like a scrolling marquee for a Twitter feed, weather information, or stock quotes in real-time. It can also display static information such as the time or even function to display bar graphs, VU meters, and other dashboard-type applications. It can even play rudimentary games such as Pong and be viewed in direct sunlight.
The unit is completely self-contained and requires no soldering; simply connect the Pi Lite directly to the Pi's GPIO pins. Programming can be done using Python code or downloaded through any number of GitHub open-source projects. The Pi Lite comes in either white or red and is available from Ciseco's website for around $32. View the Kickstarter video here:
