Remote monitoring ... and False Alarms

There is a lot of interest in remote monitoring of health conditions. The challenge is to ensure that false alarms are avoided. When the individual moves into a wireless dead zone, the battery dies, or the sensor disconnects, it doesn't mean that an ambulance is needed. Anyone who has ever visited a hospital knows the din of beeping sensors - many of which are false alarms. If the problem isn't yet solved in that controlled environment, there is some work needed to get home monitoring working smoothly.
