The $74 Open-Source RIoTBoard, element14 (Booth 1608)
Creating a virtual frenzy among attendees at Embedded World, the RIoTBoard (Riotboard.org) is a $74 open-source, single-board platform based on the Freescale i.MX 6Solo processor using the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. Operating at 1 GHz, the board is ideal for Android and Linux development and in fact comes preloaded with Android 4.3 (Jellybean). element14 is showcasing the new board at Booth 1608 and will be doing a hands-on demo in the vendor training booth (2310) on Tuesday, April 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Here's a good table comparing BBB with RasPi and some other boards: element14 link.  You'll need to scroll down a bit.

RIoTboard is similar to the i.MX6Q SABRE Lite except that RIoTboard has an i.MX6 Solo and does not connect PCIe.  There's a link to the RIoTboard near the top of the page.

BBB supports many versions of GNU/Linux along with some others -- see the table.  The default release is switching from Ångström to Debian.

Anyone want to do a comparison to the BeagleBone Black? I forget what OS support is available for the BBB. Is that the main difference/

I can't wait to see what people are going to build with this IOT board. The price point is a tiny bit steep for tinkerers, but the idea is interesting.
