The car company mentioned in this article is actually BMW. The specification that Freescale claims to have developed together was originally specified with another automotive MCU supplier. Luckily for Freescale this vendor failed to bring this spec to silicon in the time-frame requested by the OEM. So, they could jump in and get the reward ...
