In no particular order, here are a baker's dozen interesting things I heard attending Semicon West in San Francisco this week.
1. Stay tuned for a better battery
Enovix Corp. is working on a battery that can pack three times the energy of the one you are using today. The startup borrowed some solar photovoltaic manufacturing processes and made a couple of novel tweaks, according to Peter Moran, general partner at DCM, an investor in the company. Intel and Cypress are co-investors in the startup, which is still in stealth mode.
Hurry up. My battery is almost dead.
