A cutaway image of the Sunswift eVe hybrid solar electric vehicle, which is claimed to offer a range of up to 800 km (~500 miles) on a single charge and a top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph), making it practical for day-to-day use.
This car sounds great: range, speed, and even self contained recharging capability (solar cells). I notice that it is close to being approved for road use in Australia. How close is that to the requirements for USA approval and what about provisions for climate control (heating and cooling) which are necessary in the USA?
