What we think about Screen on wall so painting a wall can be eliminated.

Screen are getting thinner day by day, this can change the whole market

It is a current feature (multi-view), but you have to wear glasses - the frames sych at the same time rather then left/right for 3D - the sound is also an issue too...

Performed a little research to find the name they use for this feature and found this article - they say 10 (OLED) differrent shows and Samsungs glasses shown in the article have built in sound...  www.smithsonianmag.com/innovation/people-can-now-simultaneously-watch-different-shows-on-the-same-tv-180947762/

@Chris,

Oh! I did not know that a 3D Tv could show multiple channels simultaneously.

Thta will be a very good feature for families  men can watch their favourite sports channel while women can simultaneously get engrossed in their daily soaps.

Just wondering why no company has yet exploited this feature

I think one of the main issues is resolution and field of view.  When you are looking at 3D for it to be real looking you need to have a wide field of view which is very hard to to in anything but a theater.  Of course source material is also an issue although resolutions is is incredibly getting better and better - 4K is incredible after just these few years.

Actually though I think the underutilized function of 3D is that switching in that you can show two totally different shows - need to figure out the autio better - and I remember seeing 3 different shows from the same TV on a TI micro mirror display.

Now that we all want different programming and we want it NOW you either leaver the room and watch on you TV, Ipad, Phone or whatever....  Makes watching TV more of an individual experience then it used to be a few years ago...

Well, I agree with JP Pang telling of 'laws of physics":

Using a somewhat vertical touchscreen do not need that much time to turn painful.

I assume neither do people not need time to understand it.

Touch screen notebooks will hit the wall?

Touch screen vendors did enjoy the surge for the touch screen demands from notebook computer guys in the second half of last year.

I am curious to find out if it is indeed hitting the wall this year...what do you think?

In-Cell vs. On-Cell technologies

The In-Cell vs. On-cell technology seems to be heating up. Although those who supply to Apple pretty much seem to believe that "in-cell" is the only way to go.

oh yes, and one more thing. A new trend is making the "touch screen" in a car as close as to that of media tablets. You don't want the car display to be something as primitive as "push here button" type of touch screen, but rather much more fluid as that of tablets.

It's obvious, but it means a boon to touch screen companies!

@wilber_xbox, totally agree. If the Touch Taiwan conference were any indication, it looks like carmakers are actually placing a lot of orders for their various screens!
