I figured Jim had retired by now (as I am about to).  I also thought you might be part of the TeamEETnet, but didn't want to assume too much!  In my case, I grew up with a dad who was both an artist and world traveller, so I was well-educated in the original "Immortal Works" before I became an EE.  So I generally knew the works pretty well a priori when they showed up in the caption contest.  Didn't help too much with coming up with winning captions, although I do have a whole pile of tear sheets with contests that got at least an honorable mention!  I need to go through them and tally up my record.  I may have lost a few over the years with 3 relocations, though!

@Mark Rackin: Jim Randazzo retired a few years ago. We used to collaborate on captions via instant messaging, and then submit them jointly as Team EETnet. I particularly enjoyed writing captions for famous works of art, some of which I later viewed in museums (minus the captions, of course.)

Immortal works days...

I remember Jim Randazzo. I myself am a 14-time winner in those days, and I didn't always enter. Those were also fun, and very creative as well.

I  should have known better than to allow IT remote control of my computer after giving them a poor rating in the allegedly confidential performance survey!

@Don Swaab: IIRC, you were another of the titans of the old "Immortal Works" days.  Were you part of the "Team" with Jiim Randazzo, and who else was part of that?

SRAM and DRAM notwithstanding, Bob's attempt to emulate a virtual BRAM (battering ram) does not quite go as planned.  (OK, grooooaaan)

Before high-speed data networks came along, they used to call this "telegraphing a punch."

The NSA is monitoring my communications, and it's notifying me that I should cease and desist.
