This is so ironic, just last night Maxim hosted an excellent intro seminar on MEMS Inertial sensors at their HQ in San Jose!

Seems like Maxim sees opportunity in PMICs for wearables and tags where the CMOS / BCD processes which have typically higher yields and existing packaging & test infrastructure can be leveraged.

Maxim is such an old company and we'll know for ICs and oscillators. It's a tough market to survive these days. How did they incur losses in acquisitions?
