I guess it's not surprising that when you put some CEOs on a stage, very little of substance gets said. This is especially true when the topic is IoT and security. Security will always be hard to pin down and there's little that Rick Clemmer and the others can add to the discussion in public.

Terms like "end to end" do sound nice, but fall apart as soon as the end customer/user forgets to secure access. While Clemmer did get his plug for Qualcomm, I do think AI may play a role in "compensating" for users' lack of security awareness and knowledge with context-sensitive routines and prompts. An interesting area of exploration. 

As for this much-bandied-about stat " "90 percent of accidents come from human error. It's about the applications and solutions and making driving easier and safer." - this is only because we don't have autonomous vehicles deployed yet. When that starts to happen to various degrees, I'd expect an initial spike in overall accidents, with autonomous vehicles being part of of the statistical analysis. 

It's going to be a heck of a decade coming our way!
