LOL! Completely agree. But I can assure you that the Lattice iCE40 UltraPlus devices are a LOT closer to $5 than they are to $10,000.

From the DigiKey website, you can buy one unit through distribution for $5.35.  100 quantity are $4.47.

You guys need to refuse coverage of any gonadless chip announcement that does not include 1K budgetary pricing. With $10,000 FPGA chips at Digikey, not sure if I should care about this announcement wrt my $5 socket for one.
