The most likely scenario is that it would be just financing, something that Apple does with suppliers.

A stake is far more complex, with negative implications and risks so it doesn't make much sense.

EDIT: Maybe if their focus is 3D ReRAM not NAND, then holding a stake for the first few years makes sense.

just by turning the supply balance into oversupply will work. it will save them billions each year.

dude, appl and z might just take 40% stake and let fxcon to run the show. in the end they just want cheap nand and don't want samsung to eat all their margin.
