Get up close and personal with jazz musicians, folk duos, and more at this stage-less café. The intimate atmosphere is perfect for a low-key night of jazz or dancing at Wax Wednesdays, an eclectic all-vinyl DJ night. Strich also has free shows and often partners with San Jose Jazz to host renowned artists. Add the occasional rock band to the mix, and you’ve got the perfect downtown hotspot.
Café Strich also has a delicious menu of well crafted sandwiches and plates from around the world (try the ratatouille), and it even serves breakfast. Creative cocktails such as the bitter Rahsaan -- named after Rahsaan Roland Kirk -- and Stritch Fizz can add a cherry on top of a good night out or a too-long day at the office.
