This sensor is available in the Kinect for the Xbox One and is an improvement over the previous generation of sensors. Some of biggest improvements include increased resolution to a 512 x 424 image stream that runs at 30 frames per second with a 70-degree field of view. The sensor can read up to 60 degrees -- a 20-degree improvement over the previous sensor -- allowing users to see their feet and hands over their head. The sensor also uses a multi-shutter system on an individual pixel-related basis, which adjusts the light to put more emphasis on closer objects.
