Today's Power Supplies: Meeting Basic and Sophisticated Application Requirements

Overview:
Customer applications have power supply needs that range from basic requirements for sourcing voltage and current, to sophisticated requirements such as sequencing multiple outputs, controlling turn-on slew rate, and monitoring the current drawn by the load under varying conditions. While today's power supplies are flexible instruments with a wealth of built-in features, the core need is to deliver clean, controllable power. This webcast will cover basic power supply topologies and operation, and show how Agilent power supplies can create and measure multiple voltage and current outputs utilizing both basic and more sophisticated power supply capabilities.

Designers, manufacturers and system integrators who use dc power supplies to power assemblies, sub-assemblies and final products for R&D, design validation and production testing environments.

Amjad Sawaged, Agilent Technologies
Amjad Sawaged has worked at Agilent for four years as both a sales engineer and an application engineer. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007. He currently works as a business development manager for Agilent's System Products Division where his focus is to develop business opportunities for general purpose instruments, including power supplies, in collaboration with Agilent Distributor Partners.
