X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries

Duration:60 minutes

Overview:
Please join X-FAB for a free webinar on how X-FAB can support & manufacture your power system-on-chips (SoC) with its latest 0.18 micrometer technology (XP018). This foundry process for power management applications comes with a unique combination of high-voltage and high-density non-volatile memory (NVM) options with the lowest mask count in the industry. Find out why it is well-suited for cost optimized migration of existing solutions in larger geometries to 180 nanometers. You will learn about the various memory options and its competitive RDSon for switching and power control in the 15V, 25V, 40V, 60V range. Experience a demonstration of application examples such as portable power and lighting management ICs or interface ICs for digital power and showcase why the technology is ideally suited for power management applications requiring high voltage with NVM.

Presenter:
Sebastian Schmidt, a physicist working in the marketing department at X-FAB, is responsible for business development of X-FAB’s high-voltage and analog technologies. He brings to this position more than 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including a focus on semiconductor component modeling and indepth research on solid state physics. An industry expert on surface effects of ultra-thin films on silicon, and the layer effect that causes giant magnetoresistance in thin-film structures, he previously served as X-FAB group coordinator of modeling activities, responsible for ensuring the high standard of X-FAB’s primitive device models.  He holds a diploma in Physics from the Georgia Augusta University in Goettingen, Germany.
