Popular Mechanics magazine has released its 2010 Automotive Excellence Awards.

Ford Motor Co. was the big winner, grabbing top honors in three of the magazine's 10 categories: performance, off-road ability and workhorse.

The Toyota Prius won in the fuel efficiency category, and the Chevrolet Camaro grabbed the magazine's annual design award.

The top luxury car was the BMX 335d.

Popular Mechanics said it test drove more than 100 new cars, trucks and sport-utility vehicles. Here's the full list of winners.

Ford is riding a winning streak, with favorable reliability reviews released this week by Consumer Reports magazine.
