Naomi Price

12/1/2011 3:14 PM EST

Danger is surrounding our intrepid engineer...is he dead in the water or has he got a solution up his sleeve? Help our fine fellow by adding your caption to the comments field, below. At the end of December, we'll put the best submissions to a vote and the winner will get a colorized cartoon from Daniel Guidera!

For those that may not know nautical (ship) terminology:

Jack - ship's flag flown from jack-staff at bow of vessel

Erie - smallest of the Great Lakes in North America

Chandler- A dealer in provisions and equipment

Anchorage-A sheltered place or area where a boat can anchor

Trek - A long arduous journey
