EE Times checked in last week at the Korea Electronics Show, South Korea's annual electronics trade fair, near Seoul. The following is a smattering of images of some of the thousands of cutting edge products and projects that were showcased at the fair.

LG Electronics' booth was wall-to-wall 3-D TVs, including this bad boy, which measures about 300 inches (tough to find a spot in the living room for that).

The Korea Electronics Show has come a long way since its inception ~40 years ago.
The first ones were held in the National Publicity Halls near the Palace and generally open to the public as well. Grandmothers with babies strapped on their backs toured the exhibits right along with the techie types. The place was relatively small with narrow aisles.
I continued to go to those shows as it moved to Yoido Island Exhibition Center, then on to the Convention & Exhibition Center(COEX) in Seoul.
I haven't been to the Kintex venue.
The show was on my tour of the other Far East electronics shows held each October, e.g. Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Having them all in one month was convenient for buyers as well as sellers, even though time consuming and tiring.
