Gadgets, gizmos and geekery at CES Pepcom

Tailgating was the theme of the night for Pepcom technology showcase in Las Vegas this week, appropriate as the digital experience tacks itself on to larger events like CES.
Much in the same vein as CES Unveiled, Pepcom brings together 100’s of companies to show off their consumer wares in one large hall over the course of four hours.
Everything from voice-control watches to Ubuntu smartphones and life-vests that pulsate wirelessly to musical beats were up for inspection, but was it more style than substance?

Remember when James Bond only had to wear a Rolex Oyster watch to be cool? (I guess it did have that pull-out piano wire thing, but that was as far as it went.)
