TIA taps Bill Conley for oneM2M

Bill Conley of B&B Electronics was tapped by the TIA to participate as a TIA delegate on its newly formed oneM2M. The organization is a combo of seven leading information and communications technology Standards Development Organizations that joined to ensure global functionality of M2M communications systems—oneM2M will develop the technical specs for worldwide M2M communications.
Conley’s value was seen all too clearly in an earlier 2012 TIA presentation on the need to simplify the cellular network certification process. Complexities and inconsistencies encountered by device makers and developers when certifying M2M devices, as well as difficulties experienced by users when attaching M2M to carrier networks, was Conley’s central theme. I was going to excerpt a few slides from the TIA presentation: A Framework for 'Plug and Play' Industrial M2M Solutions. However, upon review, I decided the whole presentation should be seen—what would I cut?
