Your body as wiring in a communications system

Microchip Technology has come up with a blend of wireless and touch technologies that allows for a highly secure, bidirectional data link between a central controller and one or more wireless units. In this link, your body acts as the wiring.
Introduced today at the Embedded World conference in Germany, the BodyCom technology provides an alternative to traditional wireless proximity systems for secure communications. Microchip says its alternative uses less power, has a smaller bill of materials, and can be more secure than other short-range secure wireless communications.

The human body is just another system component. I am surprised that it took this long for device manufacturers to realize the untapped source of innovation that the body represents.
I suspect we will see many new body integrated devices in the near future. Who knows, they might actually be useful.
Just my Opinion.

It takes a few seconds to destroy a hotdog in a microwave.
I don't trust wireless routers in our home, using mobile phones, living within meters of mobile phone transmitters.
In 50 years time they will blame RF's for human DNA ruptures and cancer.
