Watch the Woz on ESC Virtual Conference

The great pleasure of my job has always been interviewing people. I had the privilege of spending almost an hour on stage at ESC Silicon Valley with Steve Wozniak last month and you'll get a chance to see that interview if you spend time on Thursday at the ESC Virtual Event online.
I've posted a couple of video outtakes of that chat in which he talks about education and the challenges engineers face when trying to innovate in a corporate environment (I can hear you howl right now!).
I'm no Apple fanatic (just got my first Mac after being on a PC for 30 years), but I'm now a big Woz fan. He's one of the most genuine human beings you'll ever meet.
Hopefully that comes through in the "fireside chat."
That's just part of the allure of the virtual event, which we hope brings you the insights, information and education that you missed if you were live outside of California (or if you were just swamped at work that week).
Also available during the virtual event will be presentations on:
- Android in an hour
- Agile software development for embedded systems
- Mars ate my spacecraft
- Modern network security protocols for embedded systems
- And much more.
The program runs from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. PDT and will be archived for six months afterward.
Check it out and then let me know whether (a) you like the virtual event format and (b) whether Woz's thoughts on eduation and innovation ring true to you.
Here's a clip of Woz in which he states "Schools are a restrictive force on creativity."
