Many of your have heard or asked about Analog Circuit Design—A Tutorial Guide to Applications and Solutions, the recently published work co-edited by Bob Dobkin, CTO at Linear Technology Corp., and the late Jim Williams, Staff Scientist at LTC. The book is a compilation of application notes, tutorials, and much more, culled from many years of experience, teaching, insight, and practical lessons.
Dobkin will be at the Design West event in San Jose, on Tuesday, March 27, from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the Newnes Press booth, #838, to sign books and meet design engineers.
(By the way, we've just begun excerpting a few chapters of the book at Planet Analog site; the first excerpt, "Ceramic input capacitors can cause overvoltage transients" was just posted.)
In a world of so much hype about trivialities, and celebrities who are famous for being famous (and you can make your own list), it's important to recognize that it's the work and accomplishments of people such as Dobkin, Williams, and many unrecognized others that has really made the difference in our technology, devices, and products. Don’t miss this special opportunity to meet Dobkin in person, tell him what you're doing, and even ask him a question or two. ◊
