A couple of years back Audio DesignLine published a two-part article from Audio Precision - the maker of audio test instruments whose products are undoubtedly familiar to most readers of this site - that offered an introduction to the six basic audio measurements. Now the company has followed up with a series of video tutorials on the same subject.
There are six videos (see individual links below), each covering one of the six basic audio measurements:
- Level & Gain (4:20)
- THD+N (6:12)
- Frequency Response (6:55)
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio (4:37)
- Crosstalk (3:32)
- Phase (5:00)
Each video discusses what each test measures and then shows how to make the measurement with an APx audio analyzer. If you enjoy these, you'll be pleased to hear that the company has plans for additional video tutorials in the future, so stay tuned.
On a related note, the company also has a reference handbook available - The Audio Measurement Handbook (PDF, 1.6MB).

Audio Precision products are pretty much the standard if you are serious in making and measuring anything audio. It's nice to see them come out with this educational material.
